Hot sunny day, with no interruptions in the heat despite there being cloud around which made no impression on the sun getting through.
A day of relaxing. I wanted to go to the boot fair (vide-grenier) that was being held in the village but I didn’t get up early enough. Who knows what bargains I might have missed. Who knows what junk I could have got rid of more like. I’ve got so many archaeological, and agricultural gems in my barn that I reckon I could hold a vide-grenier all of my own.
Spent the afternoon trying to renovate a few things I found in the back of the barn (an old brass bedstead, and some old milk churns etc.) to ready myself for the next vide-grenier next October!
I also put up a new washing line today. That’s a big event round here. They have washing line envy.
